The first documented mention of the Church of St. Bartholomew in Semanín dates back to 1350. Its present-day brick form was created during a renovation in 1696 and displays an early Baroque character. The permanent exhibition “Semanínská renesance” has been installed in the church.

The bell tower in Semanín is a fortified bell tower from the early 17th century. Its lower part is brick-built, while the upper part is made of wood. The municipality of Semanín organizes guided tours of the local bell tower by prior telephone arrangement.

Nature

Trails and events

Knajpoviště is a cold-water therapy station with hollowed-out tree trunks and flowing water on the network of Semanín educational trails. The Semanínská naučná stezka ČSOP educational trail can be completed on foot or by bicycle.

At the end of August, a pilgrimage mass is held in Semanín in honor of Saint Bartholomew.
