Koldín lies among meadows, ponds and mixed forests. The Choceňská naučná stezka educational trail passes through the village, and the cycle route from Vysoké Mýto to Sudslava also runs through Koldín.
Nature and Trails
The Choceňská naučná stezka educational trail is 35 kilometres long and includes two circular routes of 16 and 19 kilometres respectively. There is also an approximately 3-kilometre circular walking trail near Kostelecké Horky. The route is suitable for cyclists and hikers, is well signposted and has 19 information boards.
Culture and History
The Chlumek fortified site lies in a forest 1.3 kilometres east of Koldín. Traces of what was probably a rectangular tower measuring approximately 10 × 9 metres have been preserved there, along with a ditch up to 3 metres deep and a broad, partially damaged rampart. The fortified site features a well-preserved terrain relief.
Koldín Chateau dates from the early 17th century and was built near a fortress that has not survived to the present day. There is a cross dating from 1889 beside the chapel.
