Vinary: Hotels and accommodations

The Kalvárie sandstone group was erected to protect the village; its base dates from 1832. It is designated as a cultural monument. The local history also includes the former marlstone quarries, for which Vinary was once known. They provided numerous local stonemasons with work for several decades and supplied building materials for the surrounding area.

The Boží muka wayside shrine is protected; the protection also covers the surrounding area and its impact on the villagescape. The original log cabin No. 27 dates from the first half of the 17th century.

A special cultural continuity is demonstrated by the tradition of Vodění Jidáše: in 2012, it was included in the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Czech Republic. The Vodění Jidáše procession passes through the entire village of Vinary. In addition, Vinary hosts several editions of the fire attack competition for the Vinarský pohár challenge cup.

Bětník is a near-natural deciduous forest in Vinary. There is a cave in this area; at the same time, Bětník is designated as a site of European importance. The Opuka slopes Za humny are among Vinary’s two significant landscape-forming features. Rare thermophilic flora grows on them.

A Class II road from Jaroslav to Luže and Skuteč runs through Vinary. Less than 3 km northwest of Vinary, there is an interchange with the D35 motorway.
