Strážná: Hotels and accommodations
Strážná lies on the border between the Orlické Mountains and the Zábřežská vrchovina highlands at an elevation of around 600 m. A cycling loop leads from Strážná via Hoštejn, Cotkytle and Lázek back to Strážná. It is 30.5 km long and has an elevation gain of 394 m. Many cyclists and hikers come to Strážná, especially because of the beautiful views.
Landscape and views
Lázek, with its observation tower, is a prominent landmark of Strážná. From the observation tower on Lázek, the view extends eastwards towards the Zábřežská vrchovina highlands and the Jeseníky Mountains, and westwards towards the town of Lanškroun.
The extensive forests around Strážná are ideal for mushroom picking. Two large lime trees grow in the centre of Strážná. The larger of the two central lime trees has a circumference of 720 cm and is estimated to be around 300 years old.

The Štíty–Strážná–Lanškroun–Valteřice–Štíty cycling route passes through Strážná. Strážná is also part of cycling routes for more experienced cyclists.
Buildings and history
The Church of Saint Isidore is the central landmark of Strážná; it was completely rebuilt in 1921. A chapel is one of the important buildings in Strážná, and a paratrooper memorial is one of the local sights.
Strážná was first mentioned in writing in 1350; this mention is connected with the founding of the Diocese of Litomyšl in 1344. Strážná is mentioned as a parish village for 1350 and again for 1492.
