Nature and trails

The Lesní škola Květná educational trail is about 300 metres long and includes six information panels with illustrations and brief descriptions of twelve native forest tree species from the region. Along the educational trail, herbs and grasses can be examined in spring, birds observed, and leaves and fruit collected in autumn.

The paved section of the Lesní škola Květná educational trail and the forest path also serve as a local cycle path; pedestrians have priority. The educational trail is located 100 metres from Květná railway station on railway line No. 261 between Svitavy and Žďárec u Skutče.

Townscape and regional trails

Květná is situated on the “Trstenicko-hrutovská stezka” trail between Polička and Svitavy. Characteristic German farmhouses near the stream, with unplastered marlstone walls and decorative window surrounds, have been largely preserved in the village.

Products and events

Cheese and other products are available for tasting at Sýrárna Květná. Sýrárna Květná produces and sells fresh, matured, smoked, steamed and affinage cheeses. The products are made from cow’s and goat’s milk.

The traditional pilgrimage of Saint Lawrence in Květná is associated with summer cinema screenings and family events. At the “Jaro na statku” event held in Květná on 2 April 2023, Květná Zahrada opened its stable with goats, cows, horses and other animals to visitors.

Culture and history

The church tower in Květná still contains original bells dating from 1416.
