Tržek: Hotels and Accommodation

Tržek was first mentioned in 1145. Several specific historical landmarks can be found in the village, from the Carthusian monastery to the complex of the automatic mill.

Culture

The Carthusian monastery in Tržek was called “Domus Rubi” or “Rubus s Mariae” in Latin sources. These names are translated inconsistently as “Keř Panny Marie” and “Hájek Panny Marie”, respectively. The Chapel of the Virgin Mary, dating from the second half of the 19th century, also stands in the centre of Tržek.

The complex of the automatic mill in Tržek includes an automatic mill building dating from 1871. A predecessor building from the 18th century has also been preserved; the complex also contains remnants of older technical equipment.

Nature

The nearby area of Tržek includes the Havranův kopec hill and the “(Na Slínovatích) [Horky]” hill. The Řetová mountain and Jarošov mountain are also located nearby.
