Štěnovice: Hotels and Accommodation
Štěnovice begins with a Baroque château on the left bank of the Úhlava: the year 1723 is displayed on the entrance portal. The ground floor houses an exhibition of historical photographs of the Štěnovice estate.

Culture and History
Since 2008, the building with the Church of St. Prokop and its extensive renovated garden has occasionally been opened to the public each year for concerts, exhibitions, children’s events and religious gatherings – not only for church services. The church’s ecclesiastical affiliation in Štěnovice dates back to the mid-18th century. At that time, Spanish monks of the Trinitarian Order lived there for three decades in a newly established small monastery.
The Jewish cemetery in Štěnovice lies on a south-facing slope above the Losinský potok stream and was established on 1 August 1795. The site contains 164 gravestones with Hebrew, German and Czech inscriptions. The locked cemetery has been listed as a cultural monument since 2016 and can be visited by prior arrangement.
The private owner occasionally opens the château for guided tours.
Buildings and Monuments
The road bridge in Štěnovice is a straight reinforced-concrete beam bridge over the Úhlava. It was built in 1905 by the company Müller & Kapsa and is protected as a cultural monument.
The former estate in Å tÄ›novice is also protected as a cultural monument and is historically connected with the adjacent château grounds. In Plzeňská Street near the bridge, a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk was returned to its pedestal. It was created by the academic sculptors and AVU graduates, the Å mÃdovi couple.
Nature and Trails
A red-marked hiking trail runs around Štěnovice Château. There is a small car park on the outskirts near the Lom Štěnovice quarry; from there, it is approximately 200 metres to the quarry. The quarry is a small place closely connected with nature.
In the nearby area, a forest path leads to the Komárov viewpoint. From there, there is a view of the surrounding landscape.
