Nepomuk: Hotels and Accommodations

The Svatojánské Museum presents a collection of artworks and devotional objects from the 18th to the 20th century, documenting the diversity and richness of the veneration of Saint John of Nepomuk. The Church of Saint John of Nepomuk is a Baroque church built on the site where, according to tradition, the saint's birthplace stood; the building was designed by Kilián Ignác Dientzenhofer.

The nave of this church is freely accessible during visiting hours; a full tour of the church must be arranged in advance with the parish priest or sacristan. The Church of Saint James the Greater is a fortified Gothic basilica with Romanesque remnants and a Baroque bell tower. It is accessible during services and cultural events or by arrangement through the Svatojánské Museum.

The birthplace of the painter Augustin Němejc is also one of Nepomuk's historic sites. It is an early 19th-century house where the artist was born and where a permanent public exhibition of his works is now on display. A permanent exhibition of historic technology is housed in the former stables of the old Zelenohorská pošta, which is the second stop on the Pod Zelenou horou educational trail.

The Pod Zelenou horou educational trail begins in the upper part of Nepomuk's square. It is just under 4.5 kilometers long and has nine stops with information panels; the trail is suitable for walkers, cyclists, and families with children, and can be navigated with a stroller.

The Stations of the Cross on Lipový vrch, also known locally as Lipák or Šibenice, is approximately 800 meters long. It leads from the local cemetery to the former execution site on Lipový vrch and was established in 2021.

A large part of the “Nepomuckou vrchovinou za starými kostely” route leads through Kákov-Plánický hřeben Nature Park.

Atrium Piarum is a concert hall with a grand piano in the heart of Nepomuk. Pivovar a Beer Spa Zlatá Kráva offers private beer baths in the old brewery cellars as well as a wellness area.
