Netunice: Hotels and Accommodation

The first written references to Netunice date from 1192. In 1379, the village was divided; one part was incorporated into Nebílovy. From the 17th century onwards, the Netunice fortress was no longer used by its feudal lords and gradually fell into disrepair. In 1780, it was converted into a granary.

Remnants of sgraffito and a sandstone door surround at the windows on the first upper floor have been preserved at the fortress. The fortress complex is privately owned and not open to the public. A modern chapel from the early 20th century complements Netunice's cultural heritage.

In the wider surrounding region of Netunice lies Prusiny, an abandoned medieval village mentioned in the 14th and 15th centuries. A presumed seat of a vladyka is believed to have stood in the vicinity of the Church of St James the Elder. The church acquired its present form in 1722; František Maxmilián Kaňka was involved in its construction.

Netunice lies at the intersection of the two district roads from Plzeň to Blovice and from Přeštice to Rokycany.

In the wider surrounding region of Netunice, the 5.7 km circular trail “Naučná stezka Nebílovy” begins at the Baroque Nebílovy Château, with six stops and information boards. A red-marked hiking trail also leads from Nebílovy to Netunice.

Regional cycling route 2125 runs from its starting point at Tyršův most in Plzeň via Radobyčice, Štěnovice and Prusiny to Netunice.

Netunice has a children's playground and sports ground.
