Depoltice: Hotels and Accommodations

Děpoltice combines a tangible cultural history with its location in the Šumava Protected Landscape Area. The focal point is the Church of St. Isidore: it has been a protected immovable cultural monument since 1958 and was built in 1805 on the site of an earlier chapel from 1751, which was also dedicated to St. Isidore.

Culture and History

The Church of St. Isidore is also a stop on the “In the Footsteps of the Carters” educational trail, which comprises seven stops in total. Stage 9 of the Golden Trail from Javorná to Nýrsko also passes the church in Děpoltice and then continues along the “In the Footsteps of the Carters” educational trail.

Nature and Trails

The signposted circular hiking trail “Around Nýrsko via Děpoltice” is 19.3 km long and moderately difficult. From Děpoltice, it follows a green-marked hiking trail around Želivský vrch to the settlement of Blata.

The Neunussberg castle ruins are located in the wider regional surroundings of Děpoltice. The mountains Můstek, Úliště [Javor - Loučany], Lovečná, and Jägerhübel are also located there.

Connections in the Region

Cycle route 2047 connects Děpoltice, Dešenice, and Nýrsko. The Bayerwald-Tierpark Lohberg zoo is also located near Děpoltice.
