Horní Lukavice: Hotels and accommodations

The historic center lies east of road I/27, along the road to Dolní Lukavice and a local watercourse. It includes farmsteads around the village green with preserved gateway structures. A late Baroque chapel stands on the village green and is designated as a historically valuable site. A statue of Saint John of Nepomuk also stands on the main road in Horní Lukavice and is likewise designated as a historically valuable site.

Horní Lukavice is already mentioned in written records from 1216. Tiles and vessels were found at the site of the Horní Lukavice fortress. The vanished village of Lomy was located in the cadastral area of Horní Lukavice west of the road and was destroyed by Mansfeld's troops at the beginning of the Thirty Years' War.

West of Horní Lukavice, the Dražky meadows extend into the U Vojtěcha forest. A recently restored and consecrated wayside shrine stands there, associated with a local tradition about Saint Adalbert. Also west of Horní Lukavice, the forest now called Háj marks the site of a village that probably disappeared during the Hussite Wars. The local CT 2187 cycling route connects Chlumčany and Letiny via Horní Lukavice, Dolní Lukavice, Krasavce, Vodomety, and Řenče.

The Horní Lukavice swimming pool is located in the north of Horní Lukavice on the Lukavický stream. Behind the village, it serves as a place for recreation and relaxation. Traditional community events are regularly organized in Horní Lukavice.

Horní Lukavice has very good bus connections.
