Ptenín: Hotels and accommodations
A wooden fortress is already mentioned in 1228 on the site of today’s Ptenín Castle. The site is described as a Gothic fortress mentioned in 1535, which was remodeled during the Renaissance and subsequently transformed into a Baroque château in the first half of the 18th century. During the restoration of Ptenín Castle, painted sundials were recreated on the façade of the south wing in 2020; findings, archival photographs, and statements from eyewitnesses confirm their historical existence at this location.
