Velký Malahov combines local history with specific landscape and route connections. Before its incorporation into Horšovský Týn, Velký Malahov was the seat of the lower nobility.

Culture and Nature

West of Velký Malahov, a path passes by the “žabí” rybníček pond and leads to the rock formation known as “ďáblova skála”. It features a seat-shaped depression, and several legends are associated with the rock formation.

Cycling

The T1 cycling route connects Honezovice, Velký Malahov and Mezholezy. It runs mainly along dirt roads and Class III roads, where the density of motorised traffic is low.

At Dýňobraní, competitions were held for the largest pumpkin, the most beautiful pumpkin decoration and the tastiest pumpkin dish.
