Čepřovice: Hotels and Accommodation

Nature

Near Čepřovice, the ruins of Helfenburg Castle lie in the Mlaka forest complex. The Dubský stream flows through the village. From Čepřovice, there are views of the ruins of Helfenburk Castle as well as the wooded peaks of the Šumava. Hránová Hill also offers a beautiful view of the Šumava.

Routes and Transport

Several routes run through or to Čepřovice: Cycle Route No. 1072 passes through the village, while Cycle Route No. 1247 has a branch leading to Čepřovice. The 53 km cycling circuit around castles and the Museum of Rural Life also passes through Čepřovice. The Jakub Bursa Route is another option. A blue-marked hiking trail also passes through Čepřovice.

Public bus transport in Čepřovice is provided by ČSAD STTRANS a.s.; there are bus stops in all parts of the municipality.

Culture

Wall paintings from the second half of the 17th century have survived to this day in the former fortress of Čepřovice. The Chapel of the Guardian Angels stands in the village square.

Farmhouse No. 17 is a closed rural farm complex. It includes a residential building, stables with sheds, a granary that has now been converted for residential use, and livestock buildings; a barn stands on its southeast side. Between the gables of the residential building and the granary there is a gate with a segmental-arched entrance. Farmhouse No. 17 served as a filming location and can be seen in almost every film shot in Čepřovice.

As part of the Čepřovice pilgrimage, a traditional Holy Mass will be held in the Chapel of Čepřovice on September 5, 2026. On December 13, 2026, traditional Christmas trumpet playing will take place at 5 p.m. in the Chapel of Čepřovice.
