Řepeč: Hotels and Accommodations

On 28 May 1283, Bishop Tobiáš sold Řepeč to Jindřich of Rožmberk because of its remote location. The village then became part of the Příběnice estate together with 20 lán.

Příběničky was destroyed in 1437 and was never rebuilt. The site is a late medieval castle complex with an outer bailey and fortified suburb, connected by paths to Příběnice Castle on the opposite bank of the Lužnice. The grounds of Příběničky Castle also include a quarry for extracting building stone.

The prehistoric burial ground near Řepeč comprises at least 68 barrows arranged in irregular rows and was used during the Bronze Age and the Hallstatt period. The burial ground in the Atlas forest near Řepeč originally comprised approximately 40 to 50 Bronze Age and Hallstatt-period barrows. The 42 barrows found there are considered evidence of the settlement of this area by the Tumulus culture during the Middle Bronze Age.

The Řepeč municipal plan designates a chapel as an architectural asset, category A1. The traditional Řepeč pilgrimage festival in 2024 featured live music, amusement rides, and a shooting gallery.

The cadastral area of Řepeč is touched by the European Site of Community Importance CZ0313106 “Lužnice a Nežárka.” The administrative area contains naturally valuable areas with forests, water bodies, and elements of the ecological stability system.

In the wider regional surroundings of Řepeč, the “Lužnice a Nežárka” area contains near-natural to natural river sections with relatively low water pollution and suitable bed substrate. Regulated sections alternate there with relatively near-natural areas.

The burial ground near Řepeč is located in wooded terrain east of Kášovice. The access point is given as N 49°24'12.89", E 14°32'17.49". For the Příběničky castle grounds, a northwestern navigation point is given at N 49°23'34.45", E 14°33'23.39".

From Řepeč, approximately 4.5 km of unmarked forest paths lead to Příběničky; navigation is done using a map. Entry to Příběničky is free, particularly during the vegetation-free season.
