The “Klidová trasa z Horní Plané na Olšinu” route is signposted and classified as easy. From Plánička, it reaches Bližná via a forest path.

The “Cyklookruh kolem Frymburku” reaches Bližná on the signposted cycle route 1022. On its section through Bližná, it runs around the Blíženský les. The circular route also uses two ferries on Lake Lipno; the crossings make the route especially enjoyable for families with children.

The 8 km “Okruh Jestřábí” cycling circuit also passes through Bližná. A family can complete it at a leisurely pace in less than 50 minutes.

Anyone planning to stay in Bližná at a hotel will want to choose their accommodation carefully.

The “To Vítkův Hrádek by Ferry Across Lake Lipno” cycle route runs through Hůrka, Černá v Pošumaví and Bližná to Dolní Vltavice. It is 38 km long and includes 480 metres of elevation gain. It is suitable for trained cyclists as well as families with children who are accustomed to longer tours.

In the warmer months, cyclists visit the Radslav viewpoint.

History and Culture

Graphite was mined in the Václav shaft in Bližná from 1964 to 1998.
