Dolnà Vltavice: Hotels and Accommodation
Dolnà Vltavice is located on a peninsula surrounded on three sides by the waters of the Lipno Reservoir. At the same time, the water has visibly changed the history of the town: large parts of historic Dolnà Vltavice were flooded by the Lipno Reservoir; only a few newer houses on higher ground survived.
If you are planning a stay in Dolnà Vltavice, booking a hotel may be one of your options.
History and Culture
Dolnà Vltavice was first mentioned in writing in 1268 and was granted town status in 1505. The former Church of St. Linhart was founded before 1355 and demolished before the Lipno Reservoir was flooded.
The chapel near Dolnà Vltavice was built in 1648 as a memorial to the victims of a plague epidemic and rebuilt in its present form in 1753. Two protected lime trees grow next to the chapel; they are more than 350 years old. In the 1950s, at least seven bunkers with firing slits for heavy machine guns protected the crossing over the Vltava in Dolnà Vltavice.

A sandy-green beach lies between the Dolnà Vltavice ferry and the pier of the Hotel Resort Relax. At the beach of the RELAX Resort in Dolnà Vltavice, pedal-powered kayaks, paddleboards, and motorboats that do not require a boating license are available for rent.
