Culture
The ruins of Louzek Castle, founded at the end of the 13th or beginning of the 14th century, are located near Bujanov.
The Museum of the Horse-Drawn Railway in Bujanov features a model of the Bujanov transfer station. The museum provides information about the history, construction and period of operation of the horse-drawn railway. The horse-drawn railway project was the first of its kind on the European continent.
History
A transfer station for the horse-drawn railway was built in Bujanov in 1826. It remained in operation until 1870. The Museum of the Horse-Drawn Railway is housed in a former gatekeeper’s lodge next to the station; Bujanov railway station is 30 metres from the museum. The former station building is a preserved relic of the horse-drawn railway.
