Culture and History

A fragment of a gold-sheet artefact was found at the archaeological site of Kukle; it had been placed there as a grave offering. A contemporaneous settlement was identified on the opposite bank of the Tálínský potok.

The local history of Kukle is also associated with individual historical records: in 1872, Alois Novotný worked as a miller at the Kukle mill. One of the brickworks in Kukle operated approximately from 1920 to 1939. The second brickworks in Kukle ceased operations in 1939.

The Tálínský triatlon takes place in Tálín every year in July. The Václavská pouť is traditionally celebrated in the municipality of Tálín at the end of September.
