History
The oldest surviving written name for Lejčkov is “Dvorce Lejčkovské” and is documented for the year 1519. Historically, Lejčkov was settled by so-called Svobodníci, who retained their personal freedom and the independence of their property. In addition, Lejčkov had two farmsteads belonging to families with the name Lejčko.
The Chapel of St. Mary Magdalene in Lejčkov dates from 1820. It fell into disrepair until 1990, before being restored in the 1990s. The land with the chapel is privately owned.
A memorial to the fallen stands in Lejčkov on the site of houses that were destroyed by fire. A commemorative plaque lists the names of all those killed: 23 men and one woman.
