Culture and History

The former fortress in Habří has preserved vaults in the basement and on the ground floor. The former brewery borders directly on the restored fortress complex. Painted sundials can be seen on its wall next to the fortress.

The Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk in Habří was built by local residents in 1867. It is a brick Neo-Romanesque chapel with a rectangular floor plan and a three-sided apse.

The ruins of the Church of Saint Vitus are located about 1 kilometer west of Habří in a natural valley. A stone wall with three windows topped by pointed arches has been preserved from the church ruins. The Church of Saint Vitus was founded in 1644 near a pilgrimage site and a miraculous spring. A Chapel of Saint Vitus was added next to the church ruins at the end of the 19th century. Wooden benches and tables stand at the ruins for resting or having a picnic.

Annual pilgrimages take place at the Chapel of the Holy Trinity in Habří. The chapel was consecrated on May 16, 1892.

The Tvrz Fortress in Habří was originally a Renaissance fortress and was later remodeled in the Baroque and Neoclassical styles. The residential building of the Tvrz fortress complex is a two-story structure with a hipped roof.
