Pole: Hotels and accommodation

Pole is one of the oldest settlements in the Blatná area and was first mentioned in writing as early as 1228.

History and culture

In 1669, a tree nursery was founded in Pole, the first on the Lnáře estate. A small Baroque chapel, consecrated in the 18th century, stands on the road from Pole to Kadov. The monument to the liberation of Pole is located at a place called Na Vrška.

Pole u Kadova Castle is considered an exceptionally well-preserved example of late Renaissance architecture and a Renaissance château of remarkable architectural quality.

Nature

The Smyslov natural monument and its protected zone cover part of Pole’s cadastral area. The landscape around Pole is characterized by wooded hills, copses, and field paths.

Cycling

The route from Pole to Bezděkov is recommended as a cycling route. In addition, Cycling Route 1064 runs from Kadov through Pole to Zahorčičky and on to Lnáře.

Geographical location

The ruins of the Radomysl Mediumwave Radio Mast are located in the vicinity of Pole. The Vysoký pahorek hill [Kadov-Pole] lies in the immediate vicinity of Pole, as does the Na Americe hill [Hradiště-Zahorčičky].

In the wider regional surroundings of Pole are Chlum Mountain, Štěrbina Mountain, and Zvíkov Castle. The historical site of Lety u Písku (Memorial to the Holocaust of Roma and Sinti in Bohemia) is also located in the wider regional surroundings of Pole.
