The western part of the landscape around Březí is characterized by a mosaic-like landscape of bodies of water, fields, and forests. Protected natural areas include the Rybník Vočert a Lazy Nature Monument, a wetland system consisting of two ponds and a shallow water basin with frequent occurrences of the fire-bellied toad and other amphibians. It also includes the cadastral area of Březí u Blatné and is one of the most important habitats of the fire-bellied toad in the Czech Republic.

The Újezdec Nature Reserve extends across the cadastral areas of Březí u Blatné and Újezdec u Bělčic; the Rybník Vočert a Lazy Nature Monument also includes the cadastral area of Březí u Blatné. The reserve protects pond communities and preserved adjacent habitats with specially protected animal species, as well as significant populations of aquatic macrophytes. Újezdec – Planinský rybník and Kozor form a cascade of two small ponds in a shallow depression, with rich amphibian populations, and are considered an important habitat of the fire-bellied toad in the Czech Republic.

Culture

A Baroque chapel dating from 1836 stands in the village square of Březí. Since 1997, it has been dedicated to the Virgin Mary and Saint Anthony.

A cross dating from 1860 stands on the hill toward Hvožďany. Another cross, dating from 1907, stands on the eastern edge of the village; it was erected by a local resident as a sign of penance. A stone cross was also erected in the village square of Březí in 1908. A monument to the victims of the First World War stands beside this cross.

There is an inn in Březí. In its courtyard, at house no. 33, stands the protected Divadelní lípa. The tree is 18 metres tall and has a trunk circumference of 675 centimetres.
