Culture and History

Northwest of Hradiště lies the Celtic cult site of Na šancích. Near Hradiště u Malovic, it is a remarkable prehistoric monument that bears witness to the social and spiritual life of the prehistoric Celts. At the same time, it is considered a rare example of a quadrangular enclosure in the Czech Republic and is exceptionally well preserved.

The Celtic cult site of Na šancích has a rectangular ground plan and measures 120 by 90 metres. The eastern rampart of the Celtic cult site of Na šancích near Hradiště u Malovic is best preserved and reaches a height of up to 1.2 metres.

The Chapel of Our Lady stands on the village green of Hradiště and was built in 1899.

Cycling Route

Hradiště u Malovic is a stop on the Historická krajina Netolicko route. The Historická krajina Netolicko cycling trail forms an approximately 50-kilometre circular route through the region’s sights and includes 16 stops with information panels in three languages.

Hradiště is accessible by bus.
