Tučapy: Hotels and Accommodation

The Church of St. James the Greater in Tučapy was consecrated in 1352 and burned down in 1719. The church contains historic tombstones of the Dvořecký, Obytecký, and Bloewenstein families; their members were former owners of the fortress.

The Chapel of St. Wenceslas stands in Tučapy opposite House No. 6, near the petrol station. A statue of St. John of Nepomuk stands in the village square by the bus stop. It bears the coats of arms of the Malovec and Obytecký families and dates from the late 18th century. A cross by the church stands on the site of the former old cemetery. The brewery in Tučapy was built in 1804 by Prosper Berchtold of Uherčice.

The Jewish cemetery in Tučapy was probably established around 1713 on the southern bank of the Černovický potok stream, at the western end of the southern Jewish quarter. The Tučapy synagogue was built in 1779 in the northern Jewish quarter and rebuilt after a fire in 1867. The northwestern façade and entrance portal of the former synagogue have survived; the portal is now bricked up.

Rybník Pokoj Pond, with its safety spillway and outflowing stream, lies on the eastern edge of Tučapy and forms a valuable landscape-defining feature of the municipality.
