Měšice – Castle, Nature and the Way of St. James

Měšice Castle is a Baroque castle converted from a Renaissance fortress dating from 1545. Visits are possible year-round from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. by prior telephone arrangement for groups of at least five people. The stated times and minimum group size define the time and organizational framework for visiting the castle. During guided tours, the owners show how they live, reside and work in the castle today. The Měšice International Festival is held regularly in May by the 350-year-old lime tree in front of the southern façade of Měšice Castle.

The “Na Kozí Hrádek a Harrachovku” cycle route continues via Měšice to Kozí Hrádek.

The trails through Měšice thus combine different route details and types of paths: the Way of St. James initially uses Cycle Route D and then Cycle Path B, while the second stage, at 28.6 kilometres, designates an independent section between Mladá Vožice and Tábor-Klokoty. The “Na Kozí Hrádek a Harrachovku” route continues via Měšice to Kozí Hrádek.
