Turovec: Hotels and Accommodation

Nature and Landscape

Southwest of Turovec, on the dam of the Luční pond in the upper pond system, lies the Luční National Nature Monument. It is protected because of the unique occurrence of numerous important thermophilic mushroom species, especially boletes. These grow in symbiosis with the trees on the pond dam.

The oldest trees on the Luční dam are oaks approximately 300 years old. The K Doubravě mountain [Radenín-Bítov] is also located in the vicinity of Turovec. The Hora mountain, the Church of Saint Anne, and the Podstupský vrch mountain are located around Turovec. In the wider surrounding region are the Tlučin mountain and the Church of Saint John.

Culture and Townscape

The named monuments include Kepkův dub: The oak is more than 400 years old and is one of the monuments of the municipality of Turovec. Another distinctive feature is the road bridge in Turovec. It is a massive, single-arch stone structure built partly of bricks.

The chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk stands in the village square of Turovec. It is dated to 1803.
