History and Culture
The first written record of Radimovice u Želče dates back to 1307. Ethnographically, the village lies at the northern tip of the Kozácko region. The oldest farmhouses date from the early 20th century and correspond to the simple, unadorned Tábor house type.
The Chapel of Our Lady Queen was built in 1891. The local Chapel of the Virgin Mary is used for religious services, especially during the August pilgrimage. On the outskirts of Radimovice u Želče, a chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary stands near the so-called Vyhlídka. The Sokolovna was completed in 1960 and continues to serve as a sports and cultural venue.
Events
The “Radimovický koňák” cross-country race takes place annually in mid-June. Since 1976, a joint firefighters’ ball has been held annually in Radimovice u Želče.
