Chudčice: Hotels and Accommodation

The Stations of the Cross above Chudčice comprise fourteen Neoclassical masonry stations. Their chapels were built according to a design by the architect Eduard Svoboda, who was born in Chudčice. The Calvary of Chudčice has been protected as a monument since 1958.

The Chapel of the Finding of the Holy Cross is considered an important local monument in Chudčice. The modern Chapel of the Finding of the Holy Cross was built in 1996 next to the Vrzalovy horky woodland. The Tři kříže pilgrimage site was established on the site of the Chapel of the Holy Cross, which was demolished in 1784; three stone crosses were erected in its place.

The landscape of the Chudčická pahorkatina is characterised by a succession of basin-like valleys, broad flat ridges and isolated hills, mostly composed of conglomerate, known as “horky”. The Kuřimka stream runs along the eastern boundary of the cadastral area of Chudčice.

The Okno viewpoint is part of the Na Kamínkách orchard in Chudčice. From the Okno viewpoint, you can see Veveří Castle, Chudčice and Veverská Bítýška.

Cycle route 5231, “In the Footsteps of Abandoned Railways”, runs through Chudčice between Moravské Knínice and Veverská Bítýška.
