Culture

The Tišnov Town Museum is housed in the renovated Baroque Müllerův dům. Its speleological section provides insights into otherwise inaccessible areas of the Tišnovský kras. The Josefa Jambora Gallery presents contemporary visual art as well as works by Josef Jambor from the Tišnov collection.

Tišnov's established traditions include the Svatováclavské hody, celebrated on the feast day of Saint Václav. The Church of St Václav is a late Gothic ecclesiastical building that has undergone Baroque and Neoclassical alterations.

Events and Trails

The programme of the 2025 Svatováclavské hody included a performance of folk dances by children and the decoration of the maypole. The programme also included a market, a fair of nonprofit organisations and information about the local traditional costume.

A frequently used starting point for cycling tours in Tišnov provides a connection to the Mikroregion PORTA cycling trail system. The route also leads to Drásov and to a car park at the cemetery in Tišnov.

A tourist route to the Klucanina lookout tower is marked blue or yellow. The yellow route is suitable for children and pushchairs and is designed as an educational trail.

Nature

Květnice was declared a nature reserve in 1928. It consists partly of limestone and partly of quartzite. From spring to autumn, numerous rare thermophilic plants can be seen on Květnice.

The mountains in the vicinity of Tišnov include Paní hora, Zlobica, Střela and Sýkoř.
