Dyjákovice: Hotels and Accommodation

At the nearby MJ-S 15 “Závora” infantry fortification, visitors can see a modernized filtration and ventilation system, fully equipped cupolas and an original pump. There are also more than 30 military fortification structures in the vicinity of Dyjákovice.

The Church of St. Michael the Archangel in Dyjákovice is a late Baroque church built between 1757 and 1761. The center of Dyjákovice, including the Church of St. Michael, is considered an area with documented or reasonably suspected archaeological finds.

At the eastern edge of the village stands the Chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes. It has a single-nave body, a polygonal chancel and a tower above the western entrance. The chapel is a valuable small sacred building in the Neo-Gothic style dating from 1886; it was built in 1885 on the site of an older Marian chapel called “Frauenbild” and extensively restored in 1984.

In the former cemetery by the northern wall of the parish church, there is a Calvary group with a monumental Classicist cemetery cross at its center. The local outdoor minor monuments also include a stone wayside shrine from the 16th century, classified among the late Gothic pre-Reformation minor monuments. At the western edge of Dyjákovice stands the Chapel of Our Lady, Mother of the Church, a small sacred building dating from 1886.

The program of the Michalské krojované hody 2025 included a procession through the village in traditional costumes. The same program also included a gathering with cimbalom music. A pilgrimage in honor of the holy archangels Michael, Gabriel and Raphael is recorded in Dyjákovice for the Sunday around September 29.

The Thaya flows through Dyjákovice; it also feeds the irrigation canal to Hevlín.
