Culture

In the park south of the village chapel stands monolithic cross stone No. 0610. Its front and back feature raised reliefs of a wedge cross; the front also bears the engraved inscription “LIDA” and a small cross.

Nature

Horka u Žernovníka is a significant landscape feature that was registered in 1998 in the cadastral area of Žernovník u Černé Hory. On the southern side of Žernovník, at the intersection of roads III/37715 and III/37719, there is a group of four small-leaved lime trees (Tilia cordata). In the middle of this group stands a cross bearing the year 1859.

The area of Žernovník lies within Lysicko Nature Park. The nature park serves to preserve permanent grassland, scattered greenery, and forest edges reinforced by shrub belts.

Things to Do

The Žernovník lookout tower is located in the Skalky area at an elevation of 455 meters and is accessible year-round. In winter, there are numerous cross-country ski tracks in the vicinity of Žernovník.
