Culture and History
The parish church of St. Rosalia in Horní Věstonice is a late Baroque building constructed between 1769 and 1773. At the entrance to Horní Věstonice, the Chapel of St. Urban can be visited when approaching from Mikulov. The restored Boží muka, a wayside shrine, stand by a spring above Horní Věstonice.
The remains of Neuhaus, also called Nový hrad, are located in the cadastral area of Horní Věstonice. Neuhaus was built between 1368 and 1376 by the Moravian Margrave John Henry to defend the country's border. Neuhaus was probably destroyed during the Hussite campaign through South Moravia in 1426.
Cycling
The Rozálie cycling path connects Pasohlávky, Horní Věstonice, and Dolní Věstonice. It is 5 km long, runs mainly through the center of Horní Věstonice, and offers views of Pálava and the Novomlýnská Lakes.
