Lesná U Znojma: Hotels and Accommodation
The most important landmark in Lesná is the windmill. It belongs to the type of Dutch-style windmills that was built in the first half of the 19th century on the eastern edge of the settlement along the road to Znojmo. Culture
The local history includes the Church of St. Theresia, which was consecrated on 2 September 1868. Its altarpiece was painted by Josef Doré, the director of the ceramics factory in Vranov. St. Theresia Chapel, dating from 1867 to 1868, also stands in the village square.
The Motorcycle Museum in Lesná is housed in three buildings. As the first motorcycle museum in the Czech Republic, it displays an extensive collection of automobiles, motorcycles, sidecars and other curiosities. The Větrný Mlýn Restaurant serves food in the original setting of the former windmill.
Nature
The cadastral area of Lesná lies entirely within the protected zone of Podyjí National Park. On the southern side of the educational trail, there is a turnoff towards Podyjí National Park. Lesná is also located on the main road between Znojmo and Vranov nad Dyjí.
On the Way
The Vranov–Hardegg cycle path passes through Lesná. In the village, this cycle path turns left and leads to the reservoir and onward to Vranov. Cycle route 5007 Jaroslavice–Znojmo–Uherčice also passes through Lesná.
The Vranov motorcycle circuit also leads to Lesná and includes a stop at the local Motorcycle Museum.
