Olbramkostel: Hotels and Accommodation

The natural area includes the Čekal Nature Monument, a protected 3.2-hectare pond area approximately 1.3 kilometres north of Olbramkostel. It was established to protect a population of fire-bellied toads (Bombina bombina) and other rare animal and plant species.

The Šenkenberk ruins stand on a prominent rocky spur at an elevation of approximately 410 metres, around which the Plenkovický potok stream meanders. Václavský Kopec is located in the vicinity of Olbramkostel. Příčník, Schwalbenfelsen, and Binderberg are located in the surroundings of Olbramkostel.

Karlslust Château is also located in the vicinity of Olbramkostel.

The ruins of Šenkenberk Castle, also known as Šimperk, lie 3 kilometres west of Olbramkostel. Šenkenberk is considered one of the oldest aristocratic foundations in Moravia and was probably built after 1240.

A document issued in Linz on 10 September 1538 elevated Olbramkostel to the status of a market town and granted it the right to hold a weekly market and an annual fair. The church in Olbramkostel was probably built around the middle of the 13th century, during the transition from the Romanesque to the Gothic style.

The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary stands in the centre of Olbramkostel. During the reconstruction of this church in 1719, a Baroque side chapel dedicated to Saint Isidore was built. The Poklona in Olbramkostel is a Neoclassical niche chapel dating from around 1800 and an important example of small-scale sacred architecture on the edge of the settlement.

The Heimatkreuz, Lange Marter, and Saint Hubertus are located in the vicinity of Olbramkostel. A niche chapel stands by the cemetery in Olbramkostel. A statue of Saint John of Nepomuk stands behind the village on the road.

The Jevišovický okruh I cycling route follows the blue-marked hiking trail to Olbramkostel; from there, the green hiking trail continues to the Šimperk ruins. A blue-marked hiking trail runs through Olbramkostel and connects the town in the direction of Jevišovice and Znojmo.

The surroundings of Olbramkostel are suitable for walks and cycling tours due to their extensive forests and tourist trails.
