Oleksovice: Hotels and Accommodations

Oleksovická mokřina is a 43.96-hectare protected natural monument. It comprises reed beds bordered along their edges by groups of alder and willow shrubs and trees, as well as suitable floodplain woodland in some places; numerous protected and endangered animal species occur there.

Oleksovické vřesoviště comprises heathland and sand pits where heather (Calluna vulgaris), grey hair-grass (Corynephorus canescens), sand martins (Riparia riparia) and European bee-eaters (Merops apiaster) occur. Písečný vrch hill [Hostěradice na Moravě] is located in the vicinity of Oleksovice. Leskoun mountain lies in the wider regional surroundings of Oleksovice, as do Příčník mountain and Václavský Kopec hill.

Oleksovice has four wine-growing sites called “Rusteny”, “Rajny”, “U lipky” and “U zámku”. The vineyards cover a total of 42 ha and are planted predominantly with Müller-Thurgau.

Cyclists can reach Oleksovice via the Znojemská vinařská stezka wine trail, which passes through Hostěradice, then via road 397 and another turn-off to Oleksovice.

The “Holy Trinity Group” is a noteworthy Baroque work of sculpture and stonework dating from 1760 and forms part of the historic cultural landscape of Oleksovice. It is attributed to the workshop of Josef Winterhalder the Elder.
