Lubnice: Hotels and Accommodation

At Lubnické stráně, the Želetavka shapes a diverse landscape with deep valleys lined by rock towers, extensive meadows along the river, and steep slopes. Near Lubnice, Lubnické stráně is also a traditional pasture.

In 2010, a total of 174 beetle species and 55 species of diurnal butterflies were recorded at Lubnické stráně. The species recorded there also include nine specially protected species and 18 species listed in the Czech Red List of Invertebrates.

In the wider surroundings of Lubnice, Suché skály features chasmophytic vegetation on siliceous rocky slopes, as well as the occurrence of the Moravian pink, Hvozdík moravský.

The mountain Síbeňák lies in the immediate vicinity of Lubnice. The mountains Modrácký kopec and Špičák are also located in the surrounding area. In the wider regional area lies the mountain Kohlberg.

Lubnice is home to the Church of Saint George (Kostel svatého Jiří), a Baroque building from the first half of the 18th century. The Schloßberg castle ruins are also located in the surroundings of the village; the Weißes Marterl shrine is situated there as well.

The castles Schloss Wildberg and Schloss Karlslust are located in the wider regional surroundings of Lubnice.

Regional bus route 830 connects Vranov nad Dyjí, Lesná, Šumná, Bítov, Lubnice, and Dešná. For cyclists, the cycling variant of the Jižní stezka – Českomoravská vrchovina bypasses a section near Lubnice of the green-marked trail that is difficult to ride by bicycle.
