Modřice: Hotels and accommodations

The Church of sv. Gottharda has a Romanesque core dating from around the turn of the 12th and 13th centuries. Southwest of Modřice, at the cadastral boundary on the road to Želešice, stands a brick wayside shrine with a rectangular ground plan.

The Muzeum města Modřice is located at Komenského 397, 664 42 Modřice. The Chapel of sv. Václava is a Neo-Baroque chapel built in 1917–1918 as a memorial to the citizens of Modřice who fell in the First World War. Inside, there is a relief of Saint Wenceslas from 1945 by Heřman and Karel Kotrba.

The Pouť ke sv. Gothardovi pilgrimage began on May 2, 2026, at 2 p.m. with an opening Mass in the Church of sv. Gottharda.
