Nesvačilka: Hotels and Accommodation

The founding charter of Nesvačilka dates from November 29, 1715. The early development of the village included a remote manor farm near Žatčany, which was divided into 20 homesteads for new settlers.

Nesvačilka was named after the former Nesvačila pond. In German names, the village appears as Neudorf; in documents, it is sometimes also referred to as Nová ves and colloquially as Nová dědina.

The Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows stands above Nesvačilka. It is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. from April to October.

Mass is celebrated in the chapel every Sunday at 9:00 a.m. for parishioners and pilgrims. The local annual calendar also includes the traditional festival hody, which takes place in Nesvačilka every year.

Numerous cultural events take place on the grounds of the shooting range in Nesvačilka.

Nesvačilka lies in a flat, agricultural area without forests or ponds. The local area is known as the „landscape without shade“.

Two hills are located nearby: Vinohrádky near Žatčany and Špidlata near Těšany. Several ponds once surrounded Nesvačilka; they were abandoned at the beginning of the 19th century.

Brno Zoo is located in the wider regional area of Nesvačilka. Dívčí Hrady, a ruin, is also located there. Parks in this wider regional area include Sady Osvobození and Lužánky Park.

A traditional tasting of fruit brandies took place in Nesvačilka in April 2024; visitors could also sample game specialties.
