The Jevišovka River forms the natural axis of the municipality of Vevčice and is a left-bank tributary of the Dyje.

Culture and History
The Chapel of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is a significant building and landmark on the village square in Vevčice.
In 1190, the Znojmo prince Konrád donated Vevčice to the Premonstratensian monastery of the Virgin Mary and Saint Wenceslas in Louka.
