Stanoviště: Hotels and accommodations

The bell tower of Stanoviště features vernacular Baroque-inspired forms and an octagonal ground plan. It has an octagonal tent roof with an open octagonal lantern crowned by an onion dome.

Culture

At the former settlement site of Stará Stanoviště, visible remains of human dwellings have survived to this day. Historically, pottery was the most successful craft in Stanoviště. Local deposits of high-quality pottery clay supported the pottery tradition; the clay was also exported to the surrounding area. Pottery died out around the middle of the 19th century.

Nature

Stanovišťské rybníčky consists of two ponds with lush wetland vegetation. The protected area lies within the cadastral territory of the municipality of Stanoviště.

Stanovišťský mokřad covers approximately one hectare and features waterlogged soils and wetland plants. The Stanovišťské rybníčky protected area is home to a population of the green crested newt and the short-legged frog, both described as critically endangered; there are also more than 20 species of dragonflies and damselflies.

Activities

The multi-purpose sports field in Stanoviště is open to the general public for tennis, floorball, foot tennis and volleyball. Cycle route No. 5170 from Velká Bíteš to Moravský Krumlov passes through the municipality of Stanoviště.

Transport

IDS-JMK bus route 420 provides public transport connections to Stanoviště. The IDS-JMK S4 train service is connected to this bus service.
