Tišnovská Nová Ves: Hotels and accommodations

Rysov Castle is located in the cadastral area of Tišnovská Nová Ves, with a small part of the castle core and the outer bailey within it. The archaeological and cultural heritage site dates from the late 13th to the mid-14th century; traces in the terrain and fragments of walls have survived.

Culture and history

The site presumably contains the remains of a circular keep, as well as regular depressions originating from a small palace. Tišnovská Nová Ves is also home to the Chapel of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary.

Geographical setting

Road III/3897 from Újezd ends in Tišnovská Nová Ves. The Bobrůvka Site of European Importance (CZ0623324) includes the cadastral area of Tišnovská Nová Ves and is designated because of a habitat type for watercourses ranging from lowlands to mountainous areas.

In the immediate vicinity of Tišnovská Nová Ves is Víckov, a terrain feature classified as a mountain. Duforty, Sýkoř and Babylon are also located in the surrounding area, each classified as a mountain terrain feature. In the wider regional surroundings of Tišnovská Nová Ves is Brno Zoo, a zoo.
