Evaň can be characterized particularly by its nature and local architectural history.

Nature

The Evaňská rokle protects semi-natural dry grasslands and shrub communities on calcareous soil, as well as oak-hornbeam forests transitioning into thermophilous oak forests and ravine forests. Rare species occur in this natural area, including the lady's slipper orchid (Cypripedium calceolus), the elongated stemless carline thistle (Carlina acaulis subsp. caulescens) and the horseshoe vetch (Hippocrepis comosa).

Mount Boušov is located in the vicinity of Evaň. The mountains of Vinice, Košťál and Třešnovka are also located in the vicinity of Evaň.

Culture

The Ecce Homo Chapel is a small rectangular chapel measuring 3.39 metres in width and 2.42 metres in length, with a shallow-pitched gable roof. It retains its original door leaves and the original metal grille protecting the glazed sections.

The Chapel of Our Lady of Help in Evaň was built in 1905 at the request of the dying Antonín Hrzán of Evaň. On 30 October 1906, it was consecrated by Dean Václav Oplt. Its restoration included removing overgrowth, installing new roof trusses, reroofing the roof and repairing the damaged masonry.

The Chapel of Saint Joseph stands in the village square of Evaň and dates from the early 19th century.

History

The Hazmburk Ruins are located in the vicinity of Evaň. The Hrádek Ruins, the Hradek Oltářík Ruins and the historic site „Theresienstadt concentration camp and ghetto“ are also located in the vicinity. The latter is located in the wider regional surroundings of Evaň.
