Kyškovice lies on the right bank of the Elbe. Wine is grown here, and the village can also serve as a starting point for excursions into the České středohoří tourism region.

Art and creative spaces

At Galeriér, an art studio and exhibition gallery in Kyškovice, visitors can view exhibitions. The facility is located in a former building used for drying hops. For a daily fee, Galeriér offers access to painting in a professionally equipped environment and helps beginners learn the basics.

The Galeriér premises can be used for creative work, exhibitions, workshops, courses, and vernissages. Professional easels, worktables, and a complete set of painting equipment are available on site.

Wine trails and local history

The Polabské stezky za vínem a poznáním trail passes through Kyškovice. Along the route, several information boards provide information about attractive tourist destinations near the trail. This route allows visitors to visit several wineries and taste wines from both Bohemian wine-growing subregions.

Kyškovice was first mentioned in written records in 1253. The name is connected with the former Kyškov fortress, which stood on the site of today’s Obora. The historic wine-press building housed a wine press dating from 1712 and also served as a place for residents to meet and socialize.

The former “U Víchů” inn, now house number 3, was built in 1742. An amateur theater group performed three to four plays there every year from 1903 to 1955, except during the years of the Second World War. After the cultural center was completed in 1957, the group was revived and remained active, with interruptions, until 1991.

Cycling routes and the Elbe landscape

The alternative Labská stezka 2A cycling route leads to Kyškovice. A cycling loop connected to Labská stezka 2A runs from Roudnice nad Labem through Kyškovice to Brzánky and is 24 kilometers long. In Kyškovice, the route passes a hop field.

The Podřipská farma and Galeriér complex is located directly on the Elbe in a peaceful setting surrounded by nature. From the edge of Hamráček above the Elbe bank, there is a view of a long bend in the river, the Podřipsko plain, and the distinctive Říp mountain.
