The Žitenice Chateau was first mentioned in 1477. The Church of St. Peter and Paul was built in 1768–1769 by the master builder E. Kondel. Access to the courtyard of Žitenice Chateau is through a stone gate bearing the year 1699, which is presumably attributed to Giulio Broggio.
