Třebívlice Château with its English park is a significant part of the historic town centre. The château's present-day Neoclassical appearance was completed in 1837.
Culture and History
The permanent exhibition about Ulrika von Levetzow is housed in the former gardener's house. It focuses on the baroness's life and her relationship with J. W. Goethe. Ulrika von Levetzow spent almost her entire life on the Třebívlice estate.
The square in Třebívlice features a Baroque chapel with a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk dating from 1731. The Baroque rectory bears a Lobkowicz coat of arms and dates from 1787.
The originally Gothic Church of Saint Wenceslas in Třebívlice was rebuilt in the Baroque style until around 1720. Its tower was designed in 1695 by the Italian builder P. Versa, who came from Litoměřice. The granary next to the church is the oldest surviving building in Třebívlice; Čechův mlýn mill was rebuilt in its original style.
Wine and Events
The Johann W winery continues the centuries-old tradition of Litoměřice wines. The Johann W winery's wine shop in Třebívlice also offers guided wine tastings.
The Václavská pouť pilgrimage festival takes place annually in Třebívlice. Třebívlické kulturní léto is becoming a tradition.
Getting Around
During the tourism season, you can use the Středohorský motoráček (T4) to travel to Třebívlice. A hike along the Ulričinou stezkou trail can begin with a visit to the museum in the Třebívlice Château building.
