Spořice: Hotels and accommodations
In Spořice, the Church of St. Bartholomew stands in the south of the village on an island formed by a moat. In the second half of the 15th century and at the beginning of the 16th century, it was converted into a fortified church; since 1958, it has been protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic. Its slender late Gothic tower leans and is compared with the famous Tower of Pisa.
Culture and history
Spořice was first mentioned in 1281 in a document concerning transfers of property belonging to the Teutonic Order in Chomutov. The area of the fortified Church of St. Bartholomew in Spořice is an archaeological area in category ÚAN I. At the same time, the church belongs to a group of fortified churches that together form a circuit around Chomutov.
The historic agricultural estate on the village square in Spořice comprised a multi-storey residential building, a gate and farm buildings. The Zemědělský dvůr u kostela is considered an important monument in Spořice. The gate of the historic agricultural estate bears the inscription “HANS KELLER 1567”.
Archaeology
A polycultural settlement is located at the Střelnice archaeological site in Spořice. Finds from this settlement are kept at the Chomutov District Museum. An archaeological rescue excavation southeast of Spořice uncovered a settlement dating from the Early Bronze Age. Settlements of the Hallstatt and La Tène cultures were identified in the same archaeological area; the La Tène settlement yielded a burial with personal ornaments.
Sports and wellness
The Sportovní hala Spořice is located near the Spořice swimming pool and can be reserved by sports teams as well as the general public. It offers a Finnish sauna for up to 8 people; while using the sauna, guests can use a cold-water plunge pool or showers.

Spořice is one of the municipalities involved in the Prunéřov–Černovice cycling route project.
