Klášterec Nad Ohří: Hotels and Accommodations

The Zámek a muzeum porcelánu castle is a Neo-Gothic castle on the banks of the Ohře and is considered the most important landmark of Klášterec nad Ohří. The castle houses a porcelain exhibition from the collections of the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague. The sculptural decoration of the Sala terrena in the castle grounds includes works by Jan Brokof.

Culture

The Muzeum hodin contains antique clocks from a private collection, the oldest pieces of which date from 1580. In 2014, the Muzeum hodin opened a permanent exhibition of antique clocks. The Městská galerie Kryt presents contemporary Czech and international art in regular monthly exhibition cycles.

Parks and Nature

The Zámecký park is a ten-hectare English landscape park with 150 tree species from around the world. The Sedm bolestí Panny Marie chapel complex is located in the northern part of the park. In the vicinity of Klášterec nad Ohří and Kadaň lies Úhošť, a 114.5-hectare national nature reserve.

Cesta z města is an educational trail that begins above Útočiště and follows the blue hiking trail markers towards Měděnec.

Water and Recreation

The aquapark on the outskirts of Klášterec nad Ohří is a seasonal facility with water attractions for children and adults, and is open during the summer season depending on the weather. Its facilities include water slides measuring 28 m, 68 m, and 128 m in length, children's pools, and a diving tower. The Evženie spa complex includes a wellness area, a swimming pool, a whirlpool, infrared saunas, a salt cave, and sports facilities.

The tourist information centre of Klášterec nad Ohří is located beneath the town hall on the town square. At the information centre in the spa complex, you can buy Klášterecké oplatky.
