Křoví: Hotels and accommodation

The Křovský úval is a natural and semi-cultivated meadow community with thermophilous plants. The locality is threatened by overgrowth with shrubs.

The “Studánka sv. Jána” spring is located near the Křoví sawmill; there is a forest pond nearby. On a hill southeast of Křoví stand the wooden sculptures “Reklama na čučení do krajiny” by Ing. arch. Župka. From there, views extend over the village and into the valley of the Bílý potok.

The “Už ty mlýny doklapaly” educational trail passes nine former mills in the vicinity of Vlkov, Křoví and Velká Bíteš. The shorter loop is 12 km long, while the subsequent loop around Křoví adds another 7 km, making a total of 19 km.

A current notice about the educational trail warns that parts of the route may be in poor condition due to bark beetle damage and logging. Some marked trees are damaged or completely missing. The 45 km cycling route “Do údolí Bílého potoka na kole” passes through Křoví.

The Neoclassical Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Křoví is a cultural monument dating from 1808. In front of the church stands a cross from 1808, which is registered as an immovable cultural monument. Křoví was first mentioned in writing in connection with its sale in 1371.

In the 18th century, so-called kutiště were used in the vicinity of Křoví for extracting iron ores. Graphite and limonite were mined in the quarry below Bítešská horka from 1870 to 1885. The wayside shrine in the northern part of Křoví has been protected as a monument since 1958.
