Nové Veselí: Hotels and Accommodations
The Church of St. Wenceslas in Nové Veselí is a single-nave Baroque building dating from 1752 and consecrated in 1757.
Culture
The Baroque Chapel of St. Roch dates from 1680. The Renaissance chateau features Renaissance portals and an arcade dating from 1564. A former mill in Nové Veselí has preserved sgraffito decorations on its façade.
The local culture also includes a permanent exhibition featuring works by Julius Pelikán. It is open during office hours and at any time upon request. A brass band from Nové Veselí has a tradition spanning more than a hundred years.
Nature
Since 2018, signposted cycle route No. 4369 has passed through Nové Veselí. The “Our Nové Veselí” educational trail comprises ten stops covering local sights, monuments and personalities.
A birdwatching site is located on a peninsula in the “U kačenárny” area. It can be reached via the road to Matějov, through the bike trial area.
The Nové Veselí Educational Water Trail features ten information panels with interactive elements and tasks for children and runs along the northern shore of Novoveselský rybník. At some of the stops, visitors can observe small invertebrates and learn about protected plant species.
